Hey, it’s a genuine condition. And, yes, that big word in the title of today’s strip does refer to a fear of rabbits. Or, at the very least, animals in the same family. All I know is that, in the morning, when I’m having to type out the title four or five times when I’m posting the link to the strip in the forum and on Myspace and Facebook, it’s going to be a bitch. I suppose I could copy/paste, but that would be both easy and smart.
There is going to be a bit of character development in tomorrow’s strip, but don’t worry, there’s still a punchline. I’ve noticed that there’s a lot of long-form strips where they don’t seem to worry about putting a punch at the end of the comic. Usually, it just seems like the comic stops when the author runs out of room. Well, I don’t condone that sort of thing. In fact, I think the best thing you can do at the end of every strip: kill a character. Even if it’s just someone in the background. That will get people’s attention.
As a final note, for those of us who are into Sluggy Freelance, yes! Let’s get that ball rolling, Pete. It’s been eleven years, so I think it’s time for this sort of story to get underway. While the scene with Torg in the rain at the end of “Fire and Ice” was great, it’s about time this sort of thing moved to the next level.
